Yield allocation and reverse costing, catch weight, scrap and rework recovery, and variances that post where a controller can explain them. A costing engine, not an industry. Ask and we will walk you through the by-product deck.
One input becomes several outputs of different value, and standard costing has no opinion about how to split the cost between them. NetSuite assemblies assume a single finished good and a fixed bill of materials. A process manufacturer needs the cost of a batch allocated across co-products and by-products by relative sales value or physical measure, a quantity that is weighed rather than counted, scrap that carries a recovery credit instead of a write-off, and a variance that lands somewhere a controller can defend. What happens instead is a costing workbook rebuilt every period end, and a standard cost nobody believes.
Process manufacturers on NetSuite where one run produces more than one saleable output: rendering, dairy, protein, milling, chemicals, recycling. Anyone whose period-end cost roll happens in a spreadsheet.
This attaches to any process manufacturer. It is not a food and beverage vertical, and it does not replace NetSuite's manufacturing modules.
Bring the bills of material and the routings you already run. We allocate cost across what comes out. We do not design what goes in.
Standard, average or actual is your accounting policy, and standard cost setup is your decision to make. We post to it.
Reconstructing prior-period yields and running parallel costing to prove the new numbers are engagement work, priced separately.
Tell us what comes out of one run, how you split the cost across those outputs today, and where that calculation lives.
Send us the line item you want to replace: the vendor, the annual number and what it is priced on. We will tell you plainly whether we can replace it, and quote it in two lines: the license, and any services you choose to add.
