Usage and subscription billing, rated inside NetSuite

Tell us what you're paying

Raw usage rated by tier in your own account, contracts amended in place, and one invoice across your subsidiaries. It extends NetSuite SuiteBilling rather than replacing it. Ask and we will walk you through the billing scope.

Usage & Subscription Billing

SuiteBilling handles the subscription record well. Where it runs short is the work around it: usage that must be transformed and priced before it arrives, change orders that create a new billing account every time a contract moves, a one-to-one link between billing lines and revenue elements, and a customer tied to a single subsidiary.

This product closes those gaps on NetSuite's own subscription and revenue records. Usage is rated inside the account, amendments prorate in place, bundles allocate through native ARM, and a parent with several entities receives one invoice with a section for each. Like escheatment, it is horizontal: it attaches to any subscription or usage business, in any industry.

What's in the scope

  • Usage rating inside NetSuite: volume, graduated and stairstep tiers, minimums, caps and overage
  • Amendments made in place, with automatic proration and a version history on every subscription
  • Bundles allocated across revenue elements by standalone selling price, posted through native ARM
  • One invoice for a parent across subsidiaries, with a section and PO number for each entity
  • Ramped, prepaid drawdown and co-termed pricing, set up as configuration rather than code
  • Unattended billing runs by subsidiary, with an exception queue for anything that cannot bill

Who it's for, and what it doesn't do

Who this is for

SaaS, usage-based and multi-entity services companies on NetSuite SuiteBilling whose contracts have outgrown it. Highest urgency where usage volume is high, amendments are frequent, or one customer buys from several subsidiaries.

We do not replace revenue recognition

Schedules and journals stay in NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management. We decide the elements and the allocation; ARM posts them.

No tax calculation

Tax stays with SuiteTax or your tax engine. We pass it the right lines.

No payment processing

Payments and collections stay with your processor. We hand off cleanly and show the status on the contract.

Nothing posts without a person

Billing runs, amendments and journals are previewed and approved before they commit. Nothing is posted automatically.

How to start the conversation

Tell us how many subscriptions you bill, roughly how many usage events arrive each month, how many subsidiaries one contract can span, and how you rate usage today before it reaches NetSuite.

Once you have billed it, the board wants it reported. ARR bridge, retention and cohorts computed from the same contract data and reconciled to the ledger — and it does not require Advanced Billing.

Start with your number

Send us the line item you want to replace: the vendor, the annual number and what it is priced on. We will tell you plainly whether we can replace it, and quote it in two lines: the license, and any services you choose to add.
